Due to the number of people attending the Sunday night nets we have had to restrict the attendance to the senior players. The nets will no longer be available to the under 15’s hard ball players but alternative arrangements have been made for them.
They will be contacted by Simon Smith but if any player that falls in to this category has not been contacted please call Simon on 07780 621832.

…to John Gell, Helen Hood and Claire Hendry who have all passed their UKCC level 1 coaching qualification. Helen and Claire are the first parents to have taken the qualification - well done.
We have now had 4 people pass the level 1 qualification since the end of last season, this is a fantastic effort. If any other players or parents would like to take a coaching qualification please contact either Simon Smith or John Gell - both contact numbers are on the ‘officials’ page of the website.

There has been a great deal happening off the pitch since the cricket finished in September;
A side has been entered into the Under 15’s league for the 2010 season. The team will be run by Simon Smith and he will be assisted by Paul Williams who is a parent of the one of the players. Many thanks to Paul for giving up his time to assist.

After losing their first 5 matches of the season the first team beat champions Radcliffe by 5 wickets to ensure that they will again be playing cricket in Division A next season. This is a fantastic effort bearing in the mind the horrendous season they have had with injuries to key players, well done.
The academy finished on Sunday for the Summer but nets have already been booked at Trent Bridge from January. Full details will be posted on the website so please keep checking from time to time.

Just a reminder that this Sunday is G & S Presidents Day - see previous entry for full details.
Well done to the under 13’s who only just lost to Wollaton on Sunday. Wollaton scored 121 and we fell just 3 runs short. A fantastic effort against an established junior league team that contained both County and District players.
This shows just how far the Academy youngsters have come since the start of the season and we will be entering league teams for next season so this is an impressive indicator as to how well we can play.
